When you get this set up with the custom component, is it able to control the light locally, or does it have to go via the xiaomi cloud?
If it defaults to cloud control is it possible to to force local control?
I try to keep all my devices locally controlled when possible and I’m trying to figure out if I can block the light bar from connecting to the internet once I get the token and have everything set up
My understanding is that it is entirely local if you connect using the key as others have described above or you can use cloud if you connect with your Xiaomi account.
Have integrated my 1S light bar using the miot custom component. It shows up and I can toggle it on and off plus change brightness/temp, however the actual light switch entity itself never shows as off, always on.
Does anyone else have this issue?

- Does this work with the stock firmware or do I need to flash it and dissassemble as per previous comments in the thread?
- Does the remote still work?
