Can someone confirm if the Switchmate platform (https://www.home-assistant.io/components/switch.switchmate/) requires Bluetooth to communicate with Hassio? I have Hassio running on a RPi2 and bought a Switchmate kit that has both the switch plate and the wifi connected power switches. Set them up in my configuration.yaml and they don’t seem to work. Should I just assume they are using the Bluetooth mac address and not the Wifi mac? If so, I guess it’s finally time to upgrade to a RPi3B+.
Looks like the component connects via bluetooth, so that would be a yes.
