I tried the above, and after replacing the battery in my remote it paired and worked very breifly, then after I got a “device_offline” event … nothing. I deleted the device from ZHA, started pairing again (I skipped the “remove battery” step) then while it was initializing I rotated & clicked like crazy, and this time it worked. However in my case I didn’t get an “action” entity along with the device (only a battery one), so using the remote in HA relies on listening to the event stream - which isn’t ideal.
For reference I’m using a tubesZB, HA core-2021.9.7 & supervisor-2021.09.6
I bought two of these the other day. I’m using ZHA.
One of them I managed to connect to HA and even got play/pause to work with a blueprint (but was having issues with the dial doing anything).
The other just wouldn’t pair properly at all. I tried over 48hrs as I’ve found zigbee to be finicky like that, but no success.
The second one would pair with HA, but instantly report offline/unavailable. Listening for zha_events showed nothing from it.
Eventually the other one would go unavailable too, after maybe 12 hrs.
I checked the batteries and they were a strong 3.5v+.
Running into the exact same issue now. I got my first remote paired and working great with one of my sonos speakers. The other remote eventually pairs successfully, then becomes “unavailable.” Any luck since on your side?
had the same problem. I have two Symfonisk sound remotes, one, that I use daily was working fine, the other just didn’t send events (this one was not in use for a while). I re-paired it like 7 times which didn’t help, finally a reboot of HA+Zigbee solved it.
