Tapo L510E

I would like to ask, has anyone integrated the TP link L510E bulb? If so, how can this be done?
Thanks for the information

Look at this topic, some people managed to control bulbs as well.

I can work on adding a full bulb implementation after I get my hands on one

Has anyone managed to get the Tapo L530E coloured bulb working with HA?
I’ve just purchased one from Amazon for £8, half price. Thought I would try it for that price.

Try this:

Thanks for this. It worked for me - to turn the light on and off in Home Assistant. It doesn’t seem to offer control of color or brightness though, or am I missing something?

The L510E should be supported for dimming as well. Try to contact the author of the custom integration on Github through an issue. He could add support for color as well, but most likely need some testing.
I have only a plug and the cameras, but the second is another integration.

By clicking on the bulb icon a pop up shows up. There you can change the brightness.

Excellent! Thanks

I must add the devices in the tapo-app first to add them into HA, or ist there any other way?

According to the integration docs for TP-Link Tapo, you can use the kasa command line tool found here

I think Tapo devices are provisioned through Bluetooth and they don’t create any Wifi networks. That provisioning with the command line tool was really for Kasa devices.

Tapo has been added recently to the integration, because TP-Link has updated the communication protocol on the Tapo devices a few months ago. The protocol is KLAP, which is the same used by the Kasa devices.
