Interesting, I didn’t realise that. Once I sort out one of my power adapters I bricked last night whilst trying to upgrade it, I’ll look into that.
What devices do you use David?
NodeMCU dev boards with BME280, DHT22 and BH1750 sensors and some S22’s with Si7021 sensors, some sonoff SV’s as well…
i recently went and reverted many of my esp8266 devices back to tasmota. ESPHome constantly loses connection to the Home Assistant API and I have verified it is not a wifi issue. I still use ESPHome for my garage and my esp32 devices but for tuya converted and sonoff devices it is not reliable
I don’t think this is an ESPhome issue somehow… I have a heap of tuya-converted devices (not Sonoff though) running ESPhome and none of them drop off the network.
There are definitely issues with the esphome home assistant api. After reverting the remaining esphome devices experience a much more stable api connection.
I’ve not had any luck find the GPIO differences from iFan02 ->03. Could you point me in the direction of where you found them, or share what you have?
Tasmota was rock solid for me until I updated past 6.7.1. That created problems with my Asus router, so I had to go back and now I’m looking for alternatives, particularly POE.
