You NEVER feed user generated input back into a model, or you will introduce biases, because the vast majority of people will be generating quite similar content. The only reason these models work well is because of the vast landscape of content that they have ingested. But for example it’s already been highlighted by many AI people, that a significant chunk of the stuff they would prefer the model did not spit out, originated on Reddit.
It’s the modern day equivalent of recording a VHS tape master to another VHS tape, and then recording another VHS tape from the copy, rather than the master and so on.
