@krocat i reverted the dependency back to last working one. 0.5.0 I will look into further before I ask people to break their stuff @Tim_VR the correct branch is currently master so this will do https://github.com/krocat/ToonHA.git If you have no custom_components directory then git clone https://github.com/krocat/ToonHA.git custom_components and then adding your configuration as explained on the repository would be enough. You do not need to install anything just copy the directory structure of the repository under your custom_components and create the configuration entry.
@PuckStar I do not get your suggestion about the thread. Care to elaborate a bit?
In this current thread the first topic is from opdoffer and mentions a link to something that is not working anymore. So new comers may start to try that and fail.
If we “close” this thread and refer to a new thread where we mention and speak about the new component it’s like a clean slate.
Oh, right, makes a ton of sense. Go right ahead. Would it make sense to make two threads, one about the development and one about the setting up? I am guessing people would not care to read 200 posts of development details just to have things running.
Currently the retrieving of values happens every 5 minutes since that is the internal caching interval of the underlying library. I am working on figuring out how to automatically detect deauthentications and re authenticate automatically. Once that is done we will tweak the caching to a lower value after some benchmarking. Until then… patience
@opdoffer can you perhaps mention on your page https://github.com/opdoffer/toon-homeassistant that that is not working anymore? As you can read above, someone already spent 1,5 days to get it working while it never will :).
