Trigger automation on errors

Hi all,

I’ve been getting a lot of errors from bellows (part of the ZHA component). My system is at the point now where some of the more important automations are failing because the Zigbee driver has died.

Is there any way that I can trigger an automation based on error messages showing up in the log?

I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but is there any way to unload and re-load a component?

As you could guess, this is negatively impacting the WAF

You can probably use the file sensor to set up an automation

Hi @masterkenobi, not tested, but i think you could use the Command line Binary Sensor as trigger. binary_sensor: - platform: command_line command: if grep -i 'Fatal read error on socket transport' .homeassistant/home-assistant.log >/dev/null; then echo ON; else echo OFF; fi
