Also, Chrome see it as a virus… Though I understand it is very unlikely.
My HA backups (version 2024.2.2) are also identified by Microsoft Defender as having the Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml.
By doing partial backups, I was able to narrow the problem to backing up “Folders/Local add-ons”. As near as I can tell, this segment does not include any passwords. I submitted the file to Microsoft using the link provided by the moderator in this thread and am waiting for a response.
Perhaps submissions to Microsoft by others might lead to action by Microsoft to deal with this possible false alarm. I don’t like the idea of having to turn off virus protection to download a backup.
I have the exact same issue.
Trying to download via Edge Chromium browser on a Windows 10 PC.
Have had to resort to downloading via SSH for now. I hope this is fixed soon.
Same issue here
Since it is a tar-file and I don’t use any tar-files other than the backups I have excluded scanning of tar in Windows Security for now. No need to disable realtime scanning with this option. I also did submit a sample to Microsoft. Hope this helps for some of you.
