But this thread is getting very confusing, because you are not able to tell us what your device actually is!
Does smartthings even do wifi? I thought it was zigbee based, but it has had such a bad reputation that I gave up paying attention to anything smartthings ages ago.
I don’t have much experience with SmartThings; I only had one device connected to it but I am trying to eliminate everything cloud; which is why I am using Zigbee instead.
As far as the device I am going to get the exact model number as soon as I can touch it. Just away because of Thanksgiving tonight.
But I am certain that I posted a link to it in a more recent reply; I really apologize if I am not being clear with correct terms, as well.
A lot of this is self taught; I really have nothing aside from guides (and now this forum) to figure this out and learn from.
That looks like a WiFi switch, not Zigbee. So I don’t think it will ever show in HA as a Zigbee device. I’m guessing you were using a cloud-to-cloud integration to get it to work with either Google Home or SmartThings.
I was using Google Home with the Legrand app.
Is it not true that Wi-Fi means Zigbee compatibility? I thought Zigbee operates off a low power 2.4Ghz frequency also?
Your only option with that switch might be to flash it with new firmware that would enable it as a Wi-Fi device that you could use in Homeassistant with MQTT. But that would depend on the chip they used and weather anyone has written new firmware for it.
