Turned an old Android Phone into a wall mounted smart switch for HA

I used an old smartphone I had lying around to create a wall-activated sort of smart switch for everything in my HA configuration!

Nice video, even though we just learn how to fix a case to a wall ^^ But it’s still a nice introduction to home-assistant for someone not knowing it.

haha thanks! This looks really great. Will check it out now.

Nice! I would like to have a touch-based smart wall switch plugged in, though.

If I could have a wireless charger built into the wall and then use a smartphone that supports wireless charging, I think that would work with no cord hanging from the smartphone that doesn’t have a SIM card installed.

Then you could directly integrate the smartphone in the wall, that way you would have a control panel and not just a phone on that wall
