Tuya authentication expired

It works…

Tuya :grimacing:

Yay, it worked

Worked! Note: Soft reboot (quick reload - reload yaml) was enough.

still the same in mid May 2026

Developer Toolsl> restart Restart restart
and then
Settings Repairs Tuya
popped up a QR code which the Tuya app on my smart phone from its + could recognise,

I just upgraded my hardware for HA and had to re-authenticate. (Only) reading the QR code right after restart worked, thanks for the tip

2 years later and this still works. Thank you..
AI tried a few things and failed miserably so this made me day.

worked for me. - anyway to work around this issue?

You don’t need to fully reboot Home Assistant. You can also go to the integrations page, find Tuya and reload the integration. After this, the new QR code will work.

I got this problem today. I found this solution and it helped to reload, but after an updated integration I had to reauthenticate again (after the required reboot).
So I tried updating HA to the latest version and it still needs reauthentification after every reboot.
Just to clarify, the problem started before the updated integration and before I updated HA I havent done anything else new in a while and the system have been rebooted a few days ago without problems.

First time for me to see this today (since update to 2026.8 ?), I’m having to reauthenticate every couple of hours

Is there any solution? After every boot or Update, the Problem ist there?

Same here, since yesterday every coupe of hours authentication is required, maybe a general problem?

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I have to re-authenticate my Tuya account several times a day, and it’s becoming really frustrating. I never had this problem before.

I have the same problem since yesterday.

I had the same problem and suddenly it fixed itself

same problem since today, it seems that there must happened something (after working for approx. 1 year without any problems)

I have been experiencing this problem for a couple days. Multiple disconnects each day.

I confirm that the disconnect is happening randomly and more than once per day. It’s a real problem, since I’m not at home so I have to generate the QR code on a phone, take a picture on another phone and then scan the QR code with the Tuya app of the first phone.
This is why I have replying on third party web services: sooner or later they’ll give you problems or stop working altogether.
