Unable to link SimpliSafe to HA

Followed instruction on the following two links:

  1. SimpliSafe - Home Assistant
  2. Usage — simplisafe-python 2024.01.0 documentation

I then have to install virtualenv and gcc packages but when running the script/setup command (step 3) I get the following error:

gcc -fno-strict-overflow -Wsign-compare -DNDEBUG -g -O3 -Wall -fPIC -DFFI_BUILDING=1 -DUSE__THREAD -I/usr/include/ffi -I/usr/include/libffi -I/root/simplisafe-python/.venv/include -I/usr/include/python3.12 -c src/c/_cffi_backend.c -o build/temp.linux-aarch64-cpython-312/src/c/_cffi_backend.o

compilation terminated.

note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip.

Not sure how to proceed.

I don’t know, but you are about the 4th person to ask in the last week.

Try searching those out and see if they have an answer
