I am trying to track a new device (my phone) which wasn’t connected during the initial UniFi integration install. I see from reading 2022.2: Let's start streamlining! - Home Assistant that this is disabled at default but I don’t know how to enable it for this specific device? A hand, anyone?
Thanks!

Improved handling of device tracker entities
If you run an integration that provides device trackers from your router or something like the UniFi Network integration, you are probably aware those can create many entities!
This has been improved now. As of today, by default, only device tracker entities that match up with an existing - known by Home Assistant - device will be enabled by default. This keeps Home Assistant nice and tidy.
If Home Assistant does not know the device, but you still would like to track a specific one, that is still possible. In that case, you can enable the particular device tracker entities you’d like to have.
Thanks for responding.
Unfortunately this didn’t do it, the phone doesn’t appear in the entities list. Perhaps there is a manual way to add it by MAC address?
I know this is old so perhaps it was answered elsewhere.
I did what was described above. In order to find the right entity in the list, I looked on my phone to find the MAC address. The entity name of my phone in HA includes this MAC address (each two digits separated with an “_”).
I am running into a similar issue, only a small number of my devices appear in the UniFi integration.
What is odd is that the device tracker entities are not disabled.
