Updated to 0.45.1 from 0.38.1(?), ZWave is not working with clean config

I understand there is configuration changes when moving to 39, which is why I delayed this update until now. Anyways, when I turn on HA with the following config:

homeassistant:
  # Name of the location where Home Assistant is running
  name: Home
  # Location required to calculate the time the sun rises and sets
  latitude: !secret location_1_latitude
  longitude: !secret location_1_longitude
  # Impacts weather/sunrise data (altitude above sea level in meters)
  elevation: !secret location_1_elevation
  # metric for Metric, imperial for Imperial
  unit_system: imperial
  # Pick yours from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones
  time_zone: !secret time_zone
  # customize: !include customize.yaml

# Allows you to issue voice commands from the frontend in enabled browsers

I receive the following error on start up:

2017-05-23 09:06:57 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.core] Error doing job: Task exception was never retrieved

When I enable Zwave witht he following addition to my config:

zwave:
  usb_path: /dev/ttyACM0

HA will hang during start up at this point:

2017-05-23 09:15:07 INFO (Thread-3) [homeassistant.util.package] Attempting install of python_openzwave==0.4.0.31

I have the AIO installer. I updated it with hass stopped using the following commands:

sudo su -s /bin/bash homeassistant
source /srv/homeassistant/homeassistant_venv/bin/activate
pip3 install --upgrade homeassistant

What did I do wrong, why doesn’t this work?

Hello,
this can take a really long time … check with “top” if there is a task like “cclplus” running = installing and compiling open-zwave.

RaKa

Yeah, I’ve been searching the nets for a solution and I just noticed that everything came to life sometime over the last 20 minutes. I still get the first error though.

Error seems to be common with the discovery component…

Feels like this should be mentioned on the wiki page here: https://home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/
I’ve been trying to figure out why adding zwave causes the web interface to break since last night. Turns out it’s just trying to compile the python interface for the zwave component. It’s extra slow too since I’m trying to run this on a Raspberry Pi 1.
