+1 I have many energy sensors that are just accumulating values. The energy dashboard easily shows the values accumulated just for today.
To get the same value to use in other cards/dashboards, I would need to create utility meter helpers (and sometimes also separate template sensors to convert to different measurements), just to get the same value that is shown on the energy dashboard.
Please expose them and let us use them
