After my floor is clean again now, I will go and root that thing and put Valuto on it later today. I just donāt like the idea that when the chinese Invasion starts, the already know how my house looks from the inside hahaha
Mine seems to be a transvestite or transgender or gender fluid or some of this modern stuff as hiers name is Robby Rock but when heshe talks to me it is clearly a womens voice
So thank you for your thread, will report back when I have success or encounter problems!
Not sure if somebody postet this already, but after rooting you can also use
to easily install valetudo (and control the bot).
And to save some people some time I needed for investigation: RoboRock Control Center asks for your ssh keyfile, that is one of the files created during rooting. If the procedure from the link here was followed it can be found under ~./ssh/id_rsa (not the one with .pub ending)
Did someone try valetudo-mapper from rand256? The original companion app icantbelieveitsnotvaletudo wonāt work with newer versions of this valetudo fork.
It seems Iām too stupid to get it to work in portainer
You can use ssh and console command to the robot with ssh keys or just add a cro job if you plan to shutdown the robot regularlyā¦but why u want to shit down the robot ?
I have finally installed Valetudo, and setup MQTT, and my gen 1 Xiaomi Vacuum added itself to Home Assistant. However when checking the Vacuum card it does not look great.
my Valetudo completely disappeared. That happened once already but root and SSH were still in place and I could simply reinstall through robot control center.
This time Valetudo is gone, SSH access is gone and I am unable to flash my custom firmware through flasher.py
(.venv) pi@berry:~ $ python3 flasher.py -f output/v11_001886.fullos.pkg

error while checking device: No response from the device
Before it disappeared I changed nothing, did no updates, I did not even vaccum the last days
Anybody else with issues? I found in the dustcloud github, which I used for the root directions, that there is another guy reporting the same.
Are chinese people logging in to my device to āfixā it or what it going on
I tried Valetudo, but I went back to stock firmware by resetting the device. This made the device install firmware 3062.
With this firmware it works as it should (I have Xiaomi Home set to Mainland China). But when I update to 3452 and 4004 I get a notification saying āPlease select local serverā. This never happened before? And I am not able to reach the vacuumās settings, neither does the map work on 3452 or 4004.
Why is this? It is not a European model I am using, it is a China version, used on the Chinese mainland server.
I am located in Europe.
Version 4004 worked before trying Valetudo, and I used Mainland china server. I donāt want to switch server as I got other chinese Xiaomi devices which requires the Chinese server.
Is it something Valetudo has broken?
How stable are you finding Valetudo? I picked up an S5 on Black Friday and love it! Then I found out about Valetudo but also read about the random resetting. Mine is also running 1886?
Well just had a reset two days ago, made it 9 weeks. Running the vacuum 5-6 times a weeks. Just reflashed again which was simple so I guess it isnāt a huge deal but should would be nice if someone figured it out.
