Valetudo - Xiaomi Vacuum Dustcloud alternative, Live Maps

Eheh I solved. That ip, is the ip of the vacuum when its unpaired from your wifi network.

Thanks anyway mate :+1:

Iā€™m having the same issue! Let me know if youā€™ve found any solutions with Zoned Cleanup on Valetudo 3.1.

Iā€™m on home assistant 93.2

If you build the master branch of Valetudo, you can get zoned clean up working. Otherwise you can wait until the next version is released.

Thanks! I ended up using Xiaomi Vacuum component commands as a temporary solution.

Incase anyone hasnā€™t seen it yet thereā€™s a multi-platform application called Roborock Control Centre which was handy for getting map co-ordinates (I did have the flip the co-ordinates on the horizontal axis).

I have disabled autodiscover for mqtt because it seems to cause me nothing but grief. can anyone tell me what commands I can send to and what the command topic is? or better yet if anyone has a manual mqtt Vacuum config example for Valetudo that would be amazing!

I used this and it worked great, thanks! But I canā€™t enable persistent map / save map, the app just tells me Iā€™m on a old firmware version. So every time I start new cleaning the zones and go to coordinates gets unusable. Any way to solve this? Iā€™m running the recommended FW v11_001782 from the valetudo guide.

Thanks!

Iā€™m also running valetudo, it worked great the first time.

Now, my vacuum is running and I donā€™t see any updates on home assistant (home assistant shows state idle while it is running around l). Anybody else having this problem?

Maybe it has reverted to original firmware? Check https://github.com/Hypfer/Valetudo/issues/206

No, thatā€™s ok. I can still connect via IP address.

hi guys,

stupid question here, but how do I ssh to my vacuum? it always asks for a password even though it has my ssh certs on itā€¦

I used ssh [email protected]

Anyone else having issues with Valetudo 0.4.0 and HA? valetudo works perfectly, and i can find the device published via MQTT in HA, but the vacuum doesnt respond to commands, except the locate command.

It works perfect to me.

It works for me now as well, but it ook an upgrade of my entire HA installation to fix it. Weird stuff

Just stumbled across this, anyone else tried this out?

Interesting! I have just tried getting this running using the ā€œicantbelieveitsnotvaletudoā€ docker image and struggled - but this seems to work well!

Itā€™s not quite a matching image as the docker version or that in the Valuetudo map but it gives a good overview!

EDIT: good thing about this - is that I donā€™t need to use MQTT to integrate, so less containers!

So are people still using valetudo? It seems development isnā€™t really active at the moment? Tempted to go back to stock roborock firmware as valetudo seems to be quite buggy. Keen to hear others thoughts.

I was just about to root and flash mineā€¦ is it worth it? the instructions are out of date and many links donā€™t workā€¦ but I have managed to create the image.

I went back to original firmware as thereā€™s been no further development on Valetudo since first trying it out.

thanksā€¦ I donā€™t think I will botherā€¦would be nice to have the map in HA but not important.
