OK found something, if I arm the system and the system is disarmed, it will log the event in HA and change the entity value. Once entity changed to armed it will never change to disarmed. If I arm again the same area, value will still remain and not appear in the logbook.
You can also have a look in SPC Web Gateway web-interface and make sure that the area status are changing there (you have to refresh page after arm/disarm to update). Then you have more information in which end the problem are.
Hey guys, I am trying to connect my Vanderbilt system to HA but I cannot find any references to your discussions or to the web gateway installation guide to jump start.
Can you please give me some inputs?
I have access to my SPC Connect dashboard as Central Manager, is there a particular way to become Full Engineer? I find nowhere the EDP section.
My SPC is in Swedish, but you can se which menu in the graphics.
It depends on the settings of the SPC, in some cases a user first has to allow engineer to log in. Here is the section where the user allows engineer to log in (only show if user have rights to do it and function is enabled).
Hi and thanks for your response.
My web interface looks different from yours, it is branded SPC connect Siemens are you using a dedicated software and connecting locally to your alarm system?
I don´t have any dedicated software, pictures comes from web browser configuration. If yours look different it may depends on which firmware you have. I have the latest available version 3.11.1. My controller hardware is also a little bit older, the newer ones seems to have Vanderbilt logo in the web interface, but the config should be the same.
Siemens/Vanderbilt have some confusing names for software and service, SPC Pro (old config software), SPC Connect Pro (tool made for installers) and then they have SPC Connect (their web portal for app and remote connection). For personal use web config is the way to go.
How do you log in to your central? From what you write it makes me think that you use the web portal? Share some pictures please and I will do the best I can to help you.
That’s the Vanderbilt portal login in the “cloud”. You need to login to your controller, just browse to the controllers IP-address if your on the same network and login there.
If your on a different network you can connect through the cloud by clicking on the globe.
You will see another login print where you need the local login credentials, engineer and maybe also user. I hope you have these credentials, otherwise you may ask the installer to get it.
I really didn’t know about this one. I got to the other login page but my credentials are not working; I will need to ask them to my technician. I will let you know what happens when I finally manage to login.
