I have been wanting to control individual Blinds, and not all the blinds in a Blind Group. Looking at the Vantage Infusion Controller config XML, I discovered that some scenes are included in that file with VID Task ID’s assigned. Calling those Task ID’s from Home Assistant enables those scenes. I worked around controlling individual Blinds through this approach as each Blind Group in Vantage can have up to 4 shortcut scenes for Blind positioning that are exposed as a Scene. I created a Script in Home Assistant to call that Task ID.
I then wanted to control Audio through Vantage. I have an Autonomic Amp connected to Vantage. I discovered I could create a Scene in the Vantage App that sets the Audio Source, Action, Zones and Volume. I set one of these up, but it’s not coming through in the config XML.
It seems that the config XML only has predefined scenes setup by the Vantage Installer (using their Design Center software I assume). Has anyone else had any experience with this?
@gjbadros first thank you for all your work on this project. I purchased a home with an old Vantage Q system (model before InFusion) and I have purchased an IPE1000 Ethernet adaptor. Do you have any idea if your add-on will support the old system through the IPE1000?
I suspect it will not work but it really just depends on whether they use the same command protocol over a tcp socket.
