Viseron v3.0.0b1 - Self-hosted, local only NVR and AI Computer Vision software

Probably a problem with the builds, will look into it right away!
Thanks for letting me know

I use ICSEE 1080p 3MP ptz cameras.

Should be fixed now with the release of 2.3.1!

Very sorry for the delay but i have not found a solution to your problem sadly.

Am sorry. Waiting for the new version.

How does viseron talk to home assistant? I want the license plate detection to open a gate run with ESP home, is this possible?

Using MQTT, if you enable Home Assistant discovery in both Viseron and Home assistant you will get a device for each camera and entities for license plate recognition and a bunch of other things as well

v3.0.0b1 - Continuous recordings
I am finally ready to release the 24/7 recordings! It has taken a long time but now it is ready for a beta release.

There is still some work to be done on the timeline view to make it as smooth as possible but i felt that it was time to release something to show that the project is still moving forward

I encourage you to read the release notes before upgrading to avoid any potential issues: v3.0.0.b1

Here are some screenshots:

Hi,

Is there a way to add the camera’s to HA? Like Frigate does, I can add those camera’s within the Frigate card.
For my personal needs, I only want the camera’s which update the frame(s) every second. No live feed needed.

Any luck with go2rtc?

Status is the same, still working on the 24/7 recordings

Thanks! Nothing stopping me from setting up go2rtc separately, and using its RTSP stream in Viseron though, right?

By the way, thanks for this project. Works beautifully

Yes that should work just fine!

Thank you, glad it is working for you

Hmm, was just trying that, and it seems if I use go2rtc, the “live view” on Viseon is really choppy, and only updates at 1fps. It’s strange as if I check go2rtc directly, the stream is fine. I tried setting different fps manually in viseron config, but no help :frowning:

The live view in the frontend is just an mjpeg stream of what Viseron “sees”. So if you increase the fps of your motion detector for instance it will update faster.

I am aware that is not ideal, will be improved in the future but time is a limiting factor for me atm so can’t give an estimated timeline.

V3 does bring true live streaming in the timeline view using HLS so there is a slight delay, but the quality is a lot better
