Water consumption manual input

Hey everyone,

I´m living in a rented apartment so I don`t have the oppurtunity to build in a water sensor in the pipe.
But I do have 2 water meters (analog for warm and cold water) in my bathroom.
I´m currently figuring out how to make an manual input sensor to put in the values once a day or once a week during the time I brush my teeht :smile:
Does anybody have an hint how to make an input field to add some values to a utility meter sensor ?

Not exactly what you’re asking for, but have you considered using a small camera running on a Pi or ESP to automate the meter reading ? There are several projects like this out there, this one for example. Or this one.
