Hello @broesie,
Yes the problem is not with the HA version but it with the WU service.
Based on the connection timeout error it seems that you are hitting the problem/outage reported on WU forums.

Ok, thnx for the update… so I guess, for now I can’t do anything to the errors… I hope wunderground will solve those errors fast…
Now I got errors like this, and is flooding my log file…
17-02-11 01:21:21 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.core] Error doing job: Task exception was never retrieved

Do you see any information displayed at HA frontend for WU?
Yes, in my frontend, I see all the wunderground sensors with values,… However the log file is fled full of wunderground errors… So it’s not easy to find other errors… I hope that Hass will come out with a version where you can filter, or exclude errors so you can resolve some things easier…
Any updates? It’s almost 2 weeks further and still no improvement? Still seeing multiple errors in the logs…
Have you contacted WU? The problem is more on their end than on HA’s. My logs have been pretty clean with the exception of an occasional issue with alerts.
Wunderground is flooding my logfile, all wunderground errors (except 1 error of chromecast), its very difficult to find other errors in the logfile…:

Well, you could set the logger options to filter them out and set your error level to something higher, like fatal
but you may also want to check your connections at the Pi. Maybe run some curl commands to access the API and see if the errors are coming through because of something in your Pi’s setup. I was having connection errors with multiple components and it turned out that a lot of it was in the DNS setup on my Pi.
Since upgrade to 0.38.2 I had only one error with WU last night.
Wait a little longer and you will see more errors will popup… I’m also running 0.38.2…
I’m running 0.38.2 since it been published.
I know reviving an old thread.
Is there a way to slow the poll rate down for the requests to the server? I would like to increase it to every 15 minutes. If I am reading correctly, it asks every 10 minutes.
