What im doing wrong?

This is most likely “network” related. I.e how is your device talking to HA, if it’s wifi/zigbee etc, and there comes Router/Controller into the picture, signal strength etc. Many times i’ve seen people have “connections issues”, things are slow, and first choice of possible cause is The “Software”, believe me, i’ve been working with Software/network Support. wifi/zigbee and a Whole bunch of other Device uses 2.4gHz, a NUC with HA, and CPU on 2.4gHz, connected with a Disk through USB 3.0, spinns up to 2.4gHz, Microwave owens etc. etc., if 2.4gHz was a “red-color” your home would shines Red  , so the “goal” is to minimize, the signals interference. i.e Don’t place a Router near Microwave-owen, … Don’t place Zigbee Controller near Router, even a USB-Zigbee controllers direct in a NUC with 2.4gHz CPU, with a Disk in usb 3.0 would cause interference, sometimes fatal.
So best scenario is separate in Zones, if possible, … i have 2 different Zigbee controllers, but these are Ethernet-connected, placed far from Router, and close to devices, thou 1 actually controls Temperatures/Humid/Motion-censors and few switches(with power-sensors) in whole house(3 Floors), the motion-sensors that is on second-floor, through 3 walls sometimes respond a little slow( take it close to the Controller to check, and you’ll see), same as with other “slow symptoms” in GUI, Log in on direct to the HA-Device(server) with attached monitor, and you can right away “eliminate/narrowed down” your speculations, whether it’s HA, or Network
EDIT: Thou also if it’s a Person-recconice-sensor/integration, i believe this could cause “some” latency, depending on ( not sure what i should say here  … the sensor/the person )
EDIT2: Another thing when it comes to wifi, in a network nothing is faster than the slowest Device, if you have an old WIFI-g(54Mbit/s) device, your Router will handle all concurrent connections with that speed, meaning don’t expect an AX Router today will ever use that performance, unless only 1 other AX device talks to it.

It is just the way it is coded. Those parameters are supposed to be a string so quotes around them are needed.

when i put quotes around clear and person and hit save, go out the yaml editing and come back the quotes disappear. any idea why?

Don’t know for sure. Maybe they have changed the way it works and haven’t updated the docs. If you aren’t getting any errors in the logs and it is working then disregard that suggestion!

Hi,

i think i know what the issue, im using Homebridge on my synology to control the sonoff devices. i will switch to Ewelink in HA.
