Helpers are great, but limited. I often need to revert to config files to do anything even slightly complex. This also means looking up the syntax for template sensors, etc., getting it wrong a lot, etc. - and losing the ability to rename things, modify using a phone, etc.
It would be nice if there was a template Helper, that would allow code as its value, but everything else (unit of measure, other attributes) were handled by the UI.
