Will the Smartthings integration survive the Groovy purge on Sept 30th?

Hi, i’m trying to find out if any work is needed to avoid the groovy purge in sept by Samsung? Or will the integrations cease to work? I presume the HA SmartApp will be deleted in the great purge

I rely quite a lot on the HA<>ST link as I have about 100 devices on ST and I don’t relish the idea of migrating them all off, so I effectively use ST as an interface.

Thanks

Chris

The ST integration is based on the ST API - (We know this because you need to obtain an API key during its installation) - it survives.

Cool. Good to know. Was reading the integration instructions earlier and it said that the via the PAT a smartapp was created

“The PAT is used to create a Home Assistant SmartApp in your SmartThings account during setup of the integration.”

I assume that is no longer true as SmartApps are Groovy based, and also because I dont have a SmartApp today for HA installed.

Not Exactly.

Smartapps are smartapps. New ones are basically written in whatever you want and implement API connection and/or websocket calls.

GROOVY smartapps are smartapps written on the groovy platform and run INSIDE your shard (smartthings terminology for tenant)

Smartapps live on. GROOVY, including all code in the IDE dies starting the 30th of this month.
