In addition to not deleting comments from yaml when a script or automation is edited in the gui, add the ability to add comments in the gui editor itself.
Sometimes scripts and automations are complex. Other times, you might do something for a non-obvious reason (perhaps a hardware idiosyncrasy), and need to remind yourself why. Other times, you might have a long or complex script or automation, and want to plot out the logic in comments first before actually creating it. Maybe you just want to leave yourself an interesting hiku, joke, or pun to amuse you when you edit it later.
Whatever, it’s nice to be able to leave notes for yourself.
