What would the equation be if you have 3 entities?
I would think one implementation could be to allow one to have a sign associated with selected entities, such that it still is adding them, but with the sign flip for each entity to achieve subtraction and is extensible.
It’s definitely a commonly-requested feature.
Personally, I think it would be ideal to have two options for each entity that is chosen: “absolute value” and “negative”.
And for the resulting total, you’d also be able to choose “absolute value” and “negative”.
With those changes, the “combine the state…” would be a very flexible helper.
