WTH Home Assistant Doesn't Check for Successful State Changes

Zigbee lights and other entities sometimes refuse to respond to user input or automations. Would be great if Home Assistant could track attempts to turn on the lights and try again on a delay if the actual state doesn’t change immediately.

Would be great if Home Assistant could recognize the intent to turn the light on and that it didn’t happen, then handle it appropriately.

Handling could be done by retrying the attempt again automatically or allowing the user to decide how to handle the error.

Can we resolve this and continue over here given that all actions are essentially service calls. WTH doesn't HA retry a failed service call?

Resolved, this is duplicative of that post
