WTH isn't there a way to configure alerts from the UI

Alerts are useful, they should be able to be created from the UI.

Why are alerts not available in the ui and easier to set up?

Why are alerts not available to make from the ui, and why are they differentiated from automations at all? Could they not be switched out to a special kind of automation trigger and action instead? Also would make it easier to have actionable notification alerts!
