Talking of weirdness it is a close fight between JSONata and jinja2 
The WTH is about Home Assistant, not Node-RED.
Node-RED can be used with Home Assistant, but that is all third-party.
Nevertheless, thanks for suggesting, but closing this down for the above reasoning.
