WTH: Not all statistics can be fixed, why?

Does anyone know why not all statistics are editable?
I have a temp sensor that weirdly report a temperature of -1.4 million degrees (I’m fairly certain that’s scientifically impossible!).

In the Dev tools > statistics page a great deal of my statistics have the ski ramp arrow icon, but none of my temperature sensors have them.

Is this a mistake on my end, or a weird limitation?

You can only adjust statistics for sensors with state_class: total_increasing (or total) not measurement.

I’ve moved my main DB over to MariaDB, and I wanted to edit an incorrect temperature reading. In the main interface you can edit some stats by going to Home / Dev Tools / Statistics, and then clicking on the ski ramp icon on the right - but not all statistics.
