WTH why is the entities card so limited

I can’t do basic things with the entities card, like define custom units or natively change the icon color of entities within the configuration of the card itself.

I think you are talking about this? WTH we can't change color of entities based on state

Something more this. Where I can easily change the color of entities in the entities card on the fly from within the card itself. Currently I use card-mod to achieve this, but the code can get very verbose when I have a long list of entities within the entities card.

I personnaly like the entities card, because it allow grouping (and subgrouping) supports footer, and much more. But it’s sometime a bit frustrating. Changing icon colors with templating would be great, althought this shouldn’t be limited to entities card. What is really missing from this card is: access to long term statistics, unit conversion and template support everywhere.
