Z-Wave not adding devices

Hi all,

I am using a Z-Wave controller: Aeotec Gen 5 with 6 devices added. All working perfect.

I acquired a couple more devices (three wall plugs) and wanted to add.
The first one didn’t work and this might be a broken product but all three won’t add
and I have no clue how to pursue.

What options may lead to successfully adding these wall plugs?

Hope you have some ideas.

Thanks, Chris

What plugs? Sometimes it help to factory reset them before adding and make sure they are in range of.the Controller

Wall Plug (Type F) switchable and measuring power as well.
I had them factory resetted after inclusion failure but no success.

Sorry, meant specifically what brand/type.

I’ll second the factory reset. The other thing I’ve discovered, after you’ve tried to include but think you’ve failed, is to put the controller in exclude mode, and then try and exclude that device. Some controllers just get hung in not quite including a device, so when you attempt to include it again, it thinks the device is already included. I had this happen with a brand new out of the box Zooz ZEN71 switch (with the QR code and everything). I had even tried a factory reset, and it didn’t want to include, so the exclude, then include method worked perfect. My z-wave stick is also a Aeotec, but the Stick 7+. Also make sure there isn’t a firmware update on your Z-wave stick.
