Zigbee light switch with decoupled mode?

Has anyone succesfully got a no neutral ZBMINI variant working in decoupled mode?
I have no neutral wiring at the minute, and naturally would be a pain to get neutral wiring involved

Make at least an effort to go through this very thread and you will even find a wiring diagram on how it gets done.

Sorry, I searched every post for the ‘no neutral’ variant and I couldn’t find it. I will take a look again.
Thanks

Here is a repo that has custom firmware to support binding for a bunch of Tuya switches. Not sure if it has been posted. Has anyone tried it?

  • Detached mode, e.g. switch doesn’t trigger relay but only generates events via Zigbee
  • Long press for momentary switches with configurable duration
  • Router/EndDevice modes for no-neutral devices

Nice, didn’t know this firmware is available now.
Gonna be useful for my no neutral switches

Holy shit ! This is exactly what i needed for a low-cost alternative to the zbminir2.

It works! Super easy too. I followed this instruction to update via OTA. Placed some files in the external_converters folder and added a line to the configuration yaml. tuya-zigbee-switch/docs/ota_flash.md at 292e4cd6899707184dd662084283bbc3160a2953 ¡ romasku/tuya-zigbee-switch ¡ GitHub

My avatto _TZ3000_4rbqgcuv turns up in the OTA panel now. New update was found and a couple of minutes later, voilĂ !

  • output gen on/off cluster working with ikea zigbee lights
  • detached mode working.
  • switch type working
  • fallback mode working (pres 10x on switch)

This works as good as the zbminir2 for a fraction of the cost. So happy as I didn’t find any cheap, small relays with decoupled mode from tuya.

Got the avatto’s on aliexpress. It was 4.9 euro a piece to Belgium if you buy them as a bundle deal.

Thanks a lot !

The clusters

Hi, where can I check the details on the fallback mode?
Can you reduce the number of clicks?

Shelly Gen4 relays, which support detached mode, now support ZigBee (as well as Matter over Wifi).

I am using some NodOn in wall Relais which meet these requirements.

I have installed one SIN-4-2-20 behind a regular double rocker (German Schalter) light switch (gira system 55). One channel directly switches a dump light and the other channel has disabled Relais (detached mode) and switches a direct binded zigbee light.

One SIN-4-1-20 is working in detached mode behind a regular light momentary switch (German: Taster) and is direct binded with some cheap “tuya like” zigbee relais from AliExpress.

Both NodOn devices are also regular paired with my home assistant instance with ZHA.
So it works with home assistant (automation, scenes etc.), and if no zha is available it is working “standalone” (on/off).

I have configured the direct bind with use of home assistant HACS “zha toolkit”.

the only thing that bothers me a little bit is the pairing/configuration through Bluetooth with their “NodOn connect”.

Edit: corrected light switch type

Do Shellys also support direct Zigbee binding? I’ve flashed the Tuya-based Girier switch modules with custom firmware, and they’ve been working flawlessly. These budget-friendly modules seem to be the best option—they offer everything you’d typically want: quick re-pairing via five rapid toggles, detached relay mode, and direct binding support. Plus, they come in 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-gang versions, all in the same compact form factor!
