Just a shmo with too much time on my hands so why not mess around with home automation?

I have actually been interested in HA for many years but never had the time to commit to it. Now I do, to a certain extent. It has come a long ways since I started toying around with it.

I am running HAOS on an old mini PC (not sure of specs) and it is working great. I have all the usual stuff connected such as power monitoring, wx station, tvs, cameras, a few “smart” plugs and what not via zigbee2mqtt. But my main motivation has always been to use HAAS as a “front end” to my Vantage Controls system that I have had for years. I’m just starting the process but hope to get the two playing nicely and be able to have a nice looking UI that brings everything together.
