I have been retired for 18 years after being involved in the systems analysis and design of computer systems for number of years. I have some programming skills which are very rusty. My main aim with Home Assistant is to set up so automation in our home mainly for my wife who has mobility problems and who would greatly benefit from not having to get up to switch on lights or control ceiling fans. Once I get these working I sure I will find further systems to add on.
