Smarthome Enthusiast in Dallas - I had the opportunity to plan entire home automation while building our current home. I’m just getting started with Home Assistant and love what I’m able to do with it. I’ve been able to integrate weather in the automations that determine when to close the floor to ceiling window shades. I was able to integrate API calls to unlock our front gate and front door. I’m currently using the Amazon Echo devices for voice assistant and have moved all of the integrations to Home Assistant. I just implemented 15 ESPresense devices throughout the home and now I’m working on tuning that for in-room presence. Next, I’m working on ChatGPT and logic to determine the speakers in the room to reply based on the Echo the question was asked to. Home Assistant is such a great platform to continue to evolve. Looking forward to what the future holds.
