A mainframe (Univac 1100) OS guy from around 1980. Then into Management Consulting and IT project management up until retirement.

I’ve been working in smart home systems since around 1990 in the X10 days. That was followed by a quantum leap into the UPB technology (which are still my most solid devices).

I used HCA (Home Control Assistant) for about 20 years - which was an amazing piece of home control software (and is still a leader for its development environment) - but I’ve migrated from HCA to HA for the breadth of integrations available and the expanding user community.
