I am trying to learn about home automation at the moment simply to be able to monitor and control the temperature in my home workshop. My historical answer involved a thermistor, a relay, and lots of wire - until time broke the buried wires.
At the moment, after two days of reading, I am very confused but am able to build on some knowledge of the Raspberry Pi an a very little programming.
