I became interested in home automation in 2020 when I installed an ecobee 4 and a few tuya plugs. Since then I’ve been researching the best approach to automating things around the house - lights, audio, heat, cameras and perhaps a garden irrigation system. I stumbled upon Home Assistant well researching home automation tools that offered ease of use and mobility.
