Former IT worker for a large multi-national corporation. Now I audit the IT teams and systems I used to work for an with as part of an internal audit function.
My semi-formal (went to school, never got a degree - self-taught after that) education is in general electronics and computer technologies. My first computer was a Commodore 64 in the early 80’s. Been through the DOS era, Started playing with windows when it first appeared, now mostly run Linux at home (Debian, for those that care). I still dabble in electronics, and of course with computers. Running Home Assistant on a small Lenovo computer.
In my spare time (what’s that???) I am a woodworker (and president of our local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners). As a homeowner, there never seems to be an end to household projects. I also provide technical support for a local high school FM broadcast station (5.5kW!) as chief engineer. I was a student there in high school and have not left yet. The station will turn 50 in 2 years. It was around 6 or 7 years old when I started.
