Interested in programming since the days of Sinclair ZX81. Professionally an electrical power engineer with interest in anything technical. Have a number of Raspberry Pis in operation, as collectors of weather information and uploading to thingspeak.com, as home VPN server, and as a music adapter.

Have tinkered with Home Assistant since the fall of 2018. Chose HA due to its virtually unlimited number of possible integrations. Recently moved it to an MSI Cubi Silent 3 (essentially a fanless Intel NUC) and enjoy the speed compared to the RPi.
