12V DIY Electric Roller Blind / Shade Tubular 25mm Motor Kit and zvawe

Hi All,
I am about to purchase three motorized blinds with DIY 255mm motor kits. As I am getting remotes for these blinds I am wondering what I need hardware wise to hook up these blinds to zwave plus and wireless with HA?

thanks much all for your help!

You haven’t provided much information and for anyone to provide help, you will need to elaborate. Are these sold as a kit with zwave controllers or are you piecing this together yourself? What do you already have?

MorningRising 12V DIY Electric Roller Blind / Shade Tubular 25mm Motor Kit & Remote Controller from amazon

I can’t find any info on the remote but I am assuming this is BF-301:Single channel transmitter

BF-302:Double channels transmitters or

BF-305:1 channel group control,5 channels individual control
Frequency:433.92MHz

So instead of these transceivers i want to use HA to control blinds.

Do i need DC1-ZW Single Motor DC Shade controller to bridge it?
Hope this helps …

did you end up doing this? im going to be doing this in a few days. I would honestly just get some type of 433 MHZ universal remote like the broadlink switch. That would be the easiest solution IMHO

Ive just finished two blinds. It was pretty easy and I was able to use broadlink to control it.

Any details ? Thanks!

What are your thoughts of the motors themselves? Are they noisy? Are they slow? Does the control work well and consistent?

Would love some details.

Not super noisy to be honest but… my main issue was with the installation. Its difficult to install the motor properly. I tried just installing the motor with Duck tape on the end which worked for a while until it got hot and the tape slipped. If you go this route you need to do the harder/more reliable setup. Unroll the Blinds all the way to the tube so you can properly secure the part that turns the tube. If I wouldve done this in the first place I would probably still have this solution.

I use to have 6 windows and recently moved to a place with 1 window. I just went and bought the ready made zwave system. The only real difference between these and diy is that it easy for me to put the shades to a certain percentage.
