12v esphome relay for siren

Hi!
I am in the process of building my home alarm system.
Right now i am the part where i need a lout outdoor siren - so that i can scare the potential burglars away - when the alarm triggers.

I havent bought any outdoor siren yet - so ideas are welcome.

My thought was to use a cheap simple siren - like a honeywell - or something from aliexpress.

As far as i can see - most of them use 12volts - and when you give them 12volts - they turn on.
this seems simple.

Are there any compatible 1 way 12volts relay with esp2866 - that can be used in esphome?

My ideea was that i could make it work by the following components

230v AC -> ESPrelay -> Siren/Horn.

I have been looking at this:

It says 5volt - but i am not sure if it will work.

Basically i would like to have as few components as possible - but i am not sure if the relay can “drive” the sirene directly - or if i need an external psu as-well

because - if i dot - then i might aswell utilize one of my exisiting sonoff basic - and simply use it to switch on an old 12volt psu - connected to the sirene?

any reccomendations?

The relay will switch whatever you want within the defined specs. However you will need a 12v power supply to drive a 12v siren.

Hi Nickrout!
Thanks for your reply.
i was hoping for some integrated solution.

that could be fed with mains power ( 230V AC) and in terms could output 12V DC.

But then i guess the easiest solution would be to hook up a existing 12psu - with a sonoff basic
as this will do just what i need

esp devices run on 3.3v.

Buy a sonoff sv and drive it from a 12v power supply. Then you can use the same supply for both the siren and the sonoff
