2 GPS tracker for the same user

Hello, I would like to know how it is possible to use 2 GPS mobile app trackers for the same user, I use two mobile phones, one for work and the other when I do sports, and the idea would be that when I go with one and leave the other at home, it does not appear always at home when it is not. I have already tried to do it by disabling the wifi to avoid being always connected and thus recognize that you are at home. But although the log of the mobile that I have taken if the status of the different locations has changed, the identity of the person has always marked Home.

any suggestions to fix this? it is possible to use two devices, should you leave one off in flight mode for example ??

Thanks for the help

Set the user up as a Person and associate as many device trackers as you like. The logic used is described here.

OK, so I understand that if I leave one of the phones at home, connected to the WIFI and it does not go into sleep mode and is always connected, it will be predominant over the other and therefore it will always mark HOME, so the idea is when leaving disable WIFI so that the mobile that determines the location is the one that moves, but of course one of the two will always mark HOME.

It is not very clear to me where I should configure the consider_home

Thanks for the help…

That is not the logic I got from these two paragraphs:

  • If there are trackers of type ‘gps’, then the most recently updated tracker will be used.
  • Otherwise, the latest tracker with status ‘not_home’ will be used.

If you have one sitting at home, then the other one out and about will be updating more frequently.

Try it and see. I think it will do what you want by default.

Otherwise search for ‘Bayesian tracker’.
