I love this new backup feature for 2022.4 for core installations on docker. Now I don’t have to turn off my HA docker for 15min daily while my appdata folder is backing up on Unraid. Big win!
However, I can’t find the service call to trigger a backup within HA? Is that a feature request?
when I type “backup” in the automation service call nothing shows up…

This currently does not exist, please raise a feature request on the forums if that is something you would like to see implemented
yes we need this. how do we request it? this is a basic feature that should complement the new backup function
I’ve got another question - how do we restore from backups? For now my question is rhetorical, since my install is working fine, but what can we do with them once we’ve created them? Will HA Core get a “Restore” integration?

I checked out what’s in the backup compressed folder and you should be able to just replaced everything in the appdata folder with it and re-launch.
