2023.12 update: nav links gone, no automations

I have recently updated to 2023.12.3. Now in my sidebar many of the links are missing. I have no link to the logbook or energy dashboard.

How do I debug this? I’m not super savvy with HA yet

Edit: it seems none of my automations are working either. I can run them manually from the UI, but none trigger on their own. Help! :frowning: don’t make me use a lightswitch

can you look in the real homeassistant.log file in your config directory? You will need to have access to the HA file system to get there.

Have tried fully restarting HA? and clearing the browser cache?

Theres a bunch of stuff in there - this is the part that seems maybe broken?
I tried it incognito and still broken there

Turns out this was unrelated to the update. In editing my configuration.yaml to fix the changes to ping, I unintentionally removed a linebreak meaning the default_config: on the first line was commented out.

Glad for my github integration! Don’t try to use vi on your phone at 5am
