2024.10 update causes Raspberry Pi to overheat and fan makes loud noise

My Home Assistant is installed on a Raspberry PI 4 in an Argon ONE m.2 case.

I am on 2024.9.1.

When I try to update to 2024.10.1, the Raspberry PI starts overheating and the case’s fan starts making loud noises. Under normal operation, the fan runs but is quiet. Turn sound on: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

After turning the Pi off and on, the noise stops, but the update has failed. This happens every time I try to update.

I always give the update plenty of time before power cycling. And when I checked the dashboard before power cycling, nothing was loading. All of my addon pages were a blank screen and the dashboard was showing that none of my custom cards from HACS were loading.

What does a monitor connected to the Pi say?
It might be boot looping. There was an update for Alexa, I think, recently that could cause it and I think a post was stickied on there forum here about it.

I don’t have any Alexa integrations or add-ons installed.

I just tried one more time to see what the monitor would have said. And, of course, now that I request help it updates without any issues. I had previously tried 3 times and it happened every time.

Notably the monitor connected to the pi did not say anything at all and still shows it being on 2024.9.1 while the terminal add-on in HA correctly shows it being on 2024.10.1. The monitor did not change during or after the update.

Thanks anyway, though.
