Another month, another update full of useful improvements! I use quite a few templates, and have been interested in building some more advanced template sensors, but time has prevented me from getting to that. I’m very interested and excited to see what the community brings to template blueprints.
Is it possible to use our own STUN and TURN servers or to disable the feature?
It sounds like we don’t really have another choice than to use Nabu Casa’s servers there. I also don’t really like the fact that it will be enabled automatically (and use the servers) after the upgrade. Why not ask the user after the upgrade if he wants it?
Nice stable update for me. Though I have not had a chance to test the new dashboard features yet. That’s this weekend’s task. Lots of no longer needed vertical stacks to remove.
Great release as usual !
Cam stream is instant now, with reolink and picture glance card. Well done guys.
Looking good! I did notice though that there is a minor kerfuffle with a breaking change in SpotCast. The repo released an update a few days ago, but it couldn’t be installed unless you had 2024.11 installed - so people complained that they “couldn’t install it” and “it’s not smart to publish early”. So, the update was pulled, and now SpotCast is broken until it is re-published (which is even worse).
It might be nice to have a feature in HACS where versions can be released early, but these are hidden until the required core version is installed?
My question was just answered in the livestream, so it is possible to use our own server, thank you
Edit: Here are to docs to use our own servers. To disable the HA Cloud TURN server, you can do that in the UI on the HA Cloud page. But it seems like this is only the TURN Server and not the STUN Server.
So unless you set your own STUN server, you are forced to use the one provided by HA?
I personally don’t have a problem with that but I think that the option should still be there.
Is there already a guide about how to use the new webrtc implentation?
I assume that I need to delete the old one installed via hacs?
Anyone tried to convert individual dashboard views from the old masonry view layout to the new sections view layout? When I press the “convert” button, nothing happens on any of my views…
edit: never mind, working after removing my browser cache.
Thank you for native webrtc implementation, again something very important / helpful in the core. Also the decision to add this to default configuration was a good thing and will most likely make a lot of user happy who have never heard about it.
Nice to see the dashboard going out of its beta phase and the option to convert. As someone who spend eons with mods tinkering on my dashboard this maybe the start to slowly start moving them over.
And an LG ThinkQ integration? Nice! How does this affect the HACS one that has been working great for years?
I have a similar thought and question! I use the HACS LG integration currently. Excited to try the official one out and see the differences.
After updating, the dashboard tiles for all my cameras are still working, but when trying to open them in a larger window by clicking on them, some produce an error:
That happens with both a Netatmo outdoor camera using the Netatmo integration (the doorbell still works fine using the same) and a generic RTSP camera. The Netatmo outdoor camera does work with the HomeKit integration (but that doesn’t correctly display the video, never did).
Is there anything specific I need to do to get this error fixed?
(force refreshing the browser fixed this, never mind)
Wow, I’m seriously impressed with the WebRTC stuff. It’s crazy how much faster it is, thanks so much for another great release!
Great job
Im checking out the Precise Mode for Tile cards only and it appears to only work if the card has the vertical toggle selected.
I also noticed everytime i switch between Layout and Config the Precise Mode toggle turns off…
Just my 2 cents maybe some more info on this would be great for users as i also checked the mushroom cards and they dont need the card to be vertical to work
The integration Remote Home-Assistant does not work after upgrading to 2024.11.0.
Log details as follows:
And when adding a new instance of the integration the following error msg occurs:
Config flow could not be loaded: {“message”:“Invalid handler specified”}
Will there be a possibiluty to cut/move a complete section to a sub-view?
As you have more Single parts in the New view (less vertical Stacks,…), it is much more clixking currently
Great update, but I recognized that frigate card (hacs) can not play recorded clips any more after update. Returning to 2024.10.4 by backup restored function. My config: HA on proxmox and Frigate NVR 0.14.1 on proxmox in LXC as container. HACS frigate love lace card 5.2.0. BR Max
I had the same issue after updating. After some refreshes it suddenly started working. I think it is some kind of cache issue.
